Fábrica abandonada de Villanueva del Río y Minas, Sevilla

Description

La fábrica abandonada de Cementos "Guadalquivir" se encuentra a 45 Km al norte de Sevilla en Villanueva del Río y Minas y se compone de: la factoría en sí junto a su poblado principal, una cantera de marga arcillosa y una cantera de caliza.

A finales de 1945 la Confederación Hidrográfica del Guadalquivir consideró necesario instalar una fábrica de cemento en Andalucía. El proyecto de construcción de la fábrica data del 24 de octubre de 1947.
